Spear, tried to send this before don't know if it made it, so here it is again.
I do not know the particulars on this Ahole.
I do know at a doctor he cannot claim to be a conscientious objector, his job is to save lives and or heal people and
medical personnel are required to treat both friendly and enemy patients. He could have tried going CO route but I am
99% sure it would have gotten him nowhere. I don't know what or if he owed the military any service obligation if
he did not he could have just resigned his commission and left the service rather than go to Ft Hood. If he had an
obligation he most likely would have been put out of the Army under an administrative discharge after receiving an Article 15 or if he choice a Courts Martial
for failure to obey a direct order to relocate to Ft Hood. The Art 15 could
have resulted in a fine or one to two months pay max, no lose in rank, and followed by an Administrative Discharge under other than Honorable
conditions. The Courts Martial could have resulted in a number of outcomes to include a prison time, however, normally
for failure to comply with orders, which is not a violent act against person or property or a criminal act outside of the military, a person would be kicked
out of the military with a dishonorable discharge and possibly directed to pay any monies due back the Army. Point is
this guy did not have to go to Fort Hood, he choose that course of action. I am beginning to think he had decided to
launch this attack before he ever arrived a Fort Hood.
Hey Spearmonkey! We got about eight weeks left, I think. I feel like a bridezilla. Thanks for asking. I'll put up some pictures. How's everything going
with you? How's business? Better than mine, I hope. Original comment »

Reply from spear:
Business on the high tech side is still down at the company I consult with. It hasn't affected my income as I get a draw based on time in the office but it
affects the ability to get additional bonuses from new business I generate. The aesthetic business I built up over the last few years and turned over to the
wife is still growing. No slowdown for it. Docs need to have cash flow and we provide it.
Other than that , we are just enjoying life in Austin Texas...a blue dot in a red state.
Cin, missed replying back on your last message.
I saw the mall work when I was tooling down I-12 into the area. That mall was such a dump, it needed a sprucing up. The one they built down by the Goodbee (?)
exit seems to have sucked some energy out of it.
Austin is a very different place than Toula/Hammond. You can't get shrimps on the roadside but you can get great breakfast tacos. My kids have a very
differnt public school experience: the minorities are Asian and Indian kids who push the academics. You don't get beat up in the school yard, you get beat
up in the classroom on grades.
We do miss our friends and the friendly people in the area. Despite its near 3rd world status, Looosiannna is a great place to live. We hope Jindal can
ressurect it so we can move back after retirement.
Hey Cin, I was back in the hood at Thanksgiving. Visited w/ friends over at Neill Corp . My daughter is living w/ us in Austin after 2 years of partying at
SLU. We will make a trip this summer to visit family.
City Council is great! We just did our prioritizing session and all of my campaign platform is right up there on the top of the pile! Life is good :) See you
on the boards, I'm sort of figuring stuff out...

It's very slow in the finance biz this time of year, but that is typical of Jan & Feb..
They're coming along nicely on the new mall in Hammond, so we're excited about that!
Austin is a little different than this neck of the woods, hmm? lol
